The workforce strategy and initiatives team at Resilient Georgia aims to increase trauma-informed care and advance the workforce through recruitment, retention, education, and development.
Diversity Equity Inclusion and Engagement (DEIE) Advisory Committee
Mission: In collaboration with key stakeholders from clinical, academic, programmatic, and administrative sectors, the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Engagement (DEIE) Advisory Committee will offer advice and guidance toward the success of the National Mental Health Workforce Acceleration Collaborative (NMHWAC) program through the following:
Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and engagement in the mental health and substance use workforce.
Streamline licensure pathways and reduce historic barriers for diverse candidates.
Advocate for equitable hiring, recruitment, job placement, and retention.
Utilize research and data to adapt strategies to meet community needs and national standards.
Participants: The Georgia sub-committee may include representatives from graduate students, early professionals, associate and fully licensed professionals, academic programs, employers/agencies, Composite Board, and others as determined.
