Audrey Idaikkadar

Audrey Idaikkadar has worked with communities to strategically improve health and wellness for more than a decade. She believes coalition building and elevating the voices of those most impacted by disparities can help create thriving communities for all. As the Regional Program Director for Resilient Georgia, she supports grantees in their coalitional work to prevent and heal childhood adversity, advance trauma-informed awareness and care, and promote resilience with children and their families in their communities.  

Prior to joining Resilient Georgia, she served as program manager for the Office of Minority Health State Partnership Initiative to Address Health Disparities at the Georgia Department of Public Health. In this role, she convened statewide and local partners to increase healthy eating, physical activity and rich language interactions in early childhood education settings in Clarkston, Dalton and Valdosta. She previously worked in an office in the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene dedicated to advancing health equity that brought targeted resources to North and Central Brooklyn neighborhoods. She managed their school-based work, helping educators implement policy, systems, and environmental changes and support a culture of wellness. She also connected partners to increase and leverage resources.

Idaikkadar earned her Bachelor of Arts in American Studies with highest honors from the University of California at Berkeley and her Master of Public Health from Columbia University, Mailman School of Public Health. She is also a trained oral historian and recently completed her master’s degree in history at Georgia State University.
