PPP Program Description

01

Interactive Course

A dynamic 2.5 day, 16.25-hour, in person interactive course focused on building skills and confidence in diagnosing and treating pediatric behavioral health problems

02

Case-Based Learning

6 month, case-based, virtual learning program in which small groups of Primary Care Clinicians meet with PPP faculty 2x monthly for 1-hour video conferences to discuss challenging cases + apply skills learned.

Program

"PPP significantly increased my confidence treating MH conditions in pediatric patients. I've seen them transform as they get help they need, without having to wait months to see a psychiatrist. They each come back a different person. This program has been life changing for my practice!"

- Priya Thomas, MD, FAAP

Additional Components

  • Participants earn up to 29.75 CME credits.

  • Multidisciplinary teachers: 2-3 primary care clinicians (or developmental-behavioral peds) and 1-2 child and adolescent psychiatrists (CAPs).

  • Based on basic behavior change science, so greater impact on practice change and PCC effectiveness than more “typical” CMEs/ad hoc phone consultation programs.

"PPP significantly improved my ability to counsel kids, parents, and other caregivers about behavioral health challenges. The 6-month consults connected me to a network of PCPs and other experts. I feel supported and confident that my patients receive the most up to date care. I highly recommend this program to anyone who provides healthcare to children and teens!"

- Evan Brockman, MD, MPH, FAAP in Metro ATL
