Lisa Ibekwe is a beacon in the realm of mental health advocacy, passionately dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children, teens, and young adults. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a deep-seated heritage from Nigerian immigrants, she infuses her professional endeavors with the resilience and values learned from her upbringing in Georgia. Lisa's educational background in the fields of Biology and Psychology, complemented by a specialized Master's in Social Work, lays the foundation for her extensive expertise in addressing a broad spectrum of mental health issues.
Throughout her career, Lisa has made significant strides in various settings, from serving in AmeriCorps and working with youth with Autism to supporting nonprofit programs. Her repertoire includes advanced techniques such as EMDR, Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing, and Play Therapy, demonstrating her commitment to offering tailored, holistic care. As a certified trauma therapist and a dynamic speaker, Lisa's work is deeply influenced by her personal challenges, including grief, bullying, and navigating a dual cultural identity, fueling her drive to support those who feel marginalized. She is passionate about empowering youth to find their voice, advocate for themselves, and break down the barriers surrounding mental health.
