Ritania Attipoe

Ritania Attipoe. was born and raised on the picturesque Caribbean Island of Jamaica. As an adult, she relocated to the United States, where she has resided for over twenty years. Ritania currently serves as a mental and behavioral health therapist at Coastal Community Health and is pursuing a PhD in social work at Alabama A&M University. Ritania obtained her master's degree in social work from Savannah State University and her bachelor's degree in social work from Georgia State University. Ritania's background includes early childhood education, medical assisting, and social work. She's worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities, refugees, and those facing mental health challenges. Ritania is a passionate advocate for mental health equity, dedicated to reducing mental health disparities and promoting culturally appropriate solutions. She strives to enhance access to mental health resources and support systems. Through community engagement and innovative programming, Ritania aims to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for individuals facing mental health challenges. Driven by a commitment to social justice and wellness, Ritania continues exploring impactful strategies that address diverse communities' unique mental health needs.
