NMHWAC

Pre-Master's Fellowship Program

The NMHWAC Pre-Master’s Fellowship offers master’s students in clinical social work, mental health counseling, and marriage and family therapy the opportunity to complete their final year clinical internship placement at an approved Mental Health/Substance Use treatment site.

College Students

The NMHWAC Pre-Master’s Fellowship is designed to support master’s students still in the process of pursuing their degree.

The fellowship provides financial and educational support in order to assist the development of students pursuing careers as licensed mental health and substance use treatment clinicians.

The program seeks to promote diversity among students in field placements, provide hands-on experience in approved clinical settings, and increase the number of patients served by NMHWAC fellows at approved placement sites. By focusing on training and professional growth, the NMHWAC Fellowship seeks to cultivate a new generation of mental health professionals who are equipped to address the evolving challenges in the field.
